Sig Sauer Tacops - Many of you may begin to think that I am a 1911 fan with 1911 style pistols. You have recently been reviewed. Anyway, it doesn't matter. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I am a polymer pistol fan, also known as a Glock fan. But this Sig Sauer 1911 Tacops really makes me happy!
I have no problem admitting my bias, but I recently had the opportunity to get my hands on a 1911 pistol here. So I reviewed them, and the SIG 1911 Tacops were no different chambered in 9mm.

This pistol is HOSS; This is a heavier 1911 that differs from its smaller sibling the Sig Sauer P938. This is a single set, but you may be surprised by this review. So hang in there because we're going to dive deep into it.

Sig Sauer is not well known for their 1911 style pistols. They only started production in 2004 when they produced the SIG Sauer GSR or Granite Series Rail Pistol. They are the exact same model as the Colt M1911 pistol.
However, Sig Sauer has produced several 1911-style pistols, including the full-size Emperor Scorpion, Tacops, which we reviewed here, and the Spartan Nickel and Max stainless steel pistols, to name a few.
Some features of the SIG 1911 Tacops are unique to this pistol, especially since it is an older 1911 series pistol. Most 1911s do not come with a Picatinny rail. However, regarding this gun, it does. We will talk more about it later.
The first thing you'll notice when you pick up a 1911 taccops is the weight, and it's not part of the gun's grip or ergonomics, but it's important to remember that this is a heavy gun.

The gun weighs 41.6 ounces which is about three pounds. But surprisingly, as soon as you hold it in your hand, you almost forget how much it weighs.
When you hold the gun, making a tight grip, you'll notice, first and foremost, the structure of the grip frame, not the grip itself, but actually where your fingers wrap around the front of the grip.
The checkerboard-like pattern is the most, most maneuverable, so it will hold your hand and you won't move it. It doesn't hurt, but of course, you'll notice it and you'll feel like you're holding this gun well.
Of course, they are held by two screws on both sides. They have a semi-diagonal cutout in the center of the grip panel and a "SIG" logo.
Review: Sig Sauer 1911 Stainless Target Pistol In .45 Acp
The handle looks very nice. I have no complaints about them. While they don't really wow or blow me out, there's nothing wrong with all of them.
When you go to load the mag, with a properly sized base plate, it funnels like you would if you had a good aftermarket magazine like a Glock or other gun.
They are removable, and you can replace them. A great feature of Sig Tacops is that it comes standard with night vision.
However, we'll cover a little more perspective in the shooting section because there are surprises waiting, but it should be noted that those are standard three-point setups.
Sig Sauer 1911 Tacops 10mm Review
The controls installed on this gun are pretty standard for what you would expect from a 1911. However, let's delve into this a little more as each gun has a slightly different set of controls.
It has minimal thumb activation and deactivation. It's ambidextrous, so it's on the left and right side of the gun.
It's not easy to catch and pull down, and it's easy to participate. You don't really feel much.
Does it bother me? No, it doesn't bother me girl. It just doesn't bother me to keep it. It's just something to note.

The magazine release on this gun is about what you'd expect, just a single point, minimal scratches to the grip, and it's not ugly.
When you print the magazine, the magazine slides right in and there's no problem other than just calling it a standard mag release.
The slide stop on this gun sits pretty forward on the gun, especially if you have small hands.
Now, what you can do is if you have the right side of the gun, you can hit it with your left thumb.

I'm right handed so use it with your dominant hand, I have to actually rotate the gun. It's a complete 1911 pistol, no big deal.
It is easy to use with the magazine in the gun. If you have a magazine and need to send the slide home, you can use the magazine release lever, unlike some 1911s where the magazine is so tight you have to rack the slide to move it forward.
However, it has very little lift, a little too squishy, oddly enough, and then when you hit the wall, the break is tight and firm, creating a nice finish to your trigger pull.
The new setting is, not all the way out, but only with the wall. I haven't noticed that recently on 1911 style pistols. The Para and the Springfield Armory EMP4 trigger take you out a lot and then back to the wall.

Trigger Sig Sauer 1911 Tacops do. It just comes to the wall, pulls you back and away you go.
Like every 1911 I've reviewed recently, it's single action. Therefore, your hammer must be cocked, and there is no double action where you can pull the trigger with a long pull and take a shot.
It wouldn't be a Lynx defense gun review without mentioning our gun bag and Concorde.
This gun fits quite well in a regular pistol holster. Being a full size 1911, it will fit better and deeper in the Concord.

It sits pretty well in our holster, and it will hold magazines well because they are single stack nine round, 9mm magazines.
You have to have stuff, well, you don't have to, but they make your own guns. Here are a few for Tac Ops.
The grip on the SIG Sauer 1911 Tacops can easily be swapped out with any 1911 style grip but you will find that you prefer a style that will work with this gun.
The TACOPS magazine release button is easily removable with a screw, and you can swap out the release button for a textured button of your choice.

The beauty of this gun is quite nice. The exterior is black and the hammer and cylinder are silver.
A nice touch is the SIG logo in the center of the silver hands and the matching silver stainless steel barrel.
This is a very nice looking 1911. Integrated rails on the bottom of the frame hold the gun together and set it apart from others.
I really love shooting it, so we're going ahead with the shoot because that's what excites me.

So I had very low expectations for the SIG Sauer 1911. I shot my Para 1911 terribly. I love shooting it because it's so much fun. It's a 9mm pistol, so it doesn't take an arm and a leg, but I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it.
I also got a Springfield Armory EMP 9mm out, and it's a four-inch long concealed carry gun, and I couldn't hit a wide-barreled spot with it. Well, I wouldn't say that, but I did well.
But when I loaded the SIG Sauer 1911 Tacops it was a crazy experience. I put nine rounds in the magazine, stood on the 25 yard line and went nine for nine at the steel target.
I'm an average woman, maybe at best, I'd say. I have nothing special. I probably shoot more than the average person considering I have a range in my backyard, check out the article that made our home shooting and my business depend on firearms.

So I get a little more shooting, a little more exposure to different types of guns and time to tinker. But I was very disappointed to go nine nine with this gun.
I was thinking, "There's no way this is going to be good." When I started shooting, it wasn't in a violent rhythm, just controlled shooting back, but I was changing targets, two gong targets, two body targets, and I nailed one of them.
I was really shocked that I was able to keep it on target and even transition between targets and not miss a single one of those nine rounds.
That being said, I can't duplicate it in my Glock 19 that I carry every day. if you are
