Sig Saur 22 - Optic-ready, suppressor-ready, 21-round capacity, full scope control, fully adjustable fiber optic sights, interchangeable flat and curved trigger: this is SIG's new 22LR pistol, a gun that "gives you 21 reasons to love the 22 ".
Until now, SIG Sauer has not been able to offer a .22LR pistol in the product lineup, except for the GSG-produced Pasha, which was discontinued in 2013 — which is odd, since the .22LR is the world's most popular cartridge for training and affordability. , interesting in pure scope, and also "plugged in".

The P322 has a stainless steel/polymer frame and an aluminum slide. A threaded barrel adapter makes it ready to press.

That void has finally been filled: SIG Sauer has announced the new P322, a gun designed and manufactured by SIG Sauer in New Hampshire.
Built with the P320 model as a reference and with the same footprint as the P365XL, SIG's still compact .22LR pistol uses a stainless steel frame, polymer grip and aluminum slide.
But the highlights don't stop there: the new P322 has a huge and unprecedented 21-round capacity (20-round magazine + 1 in the chamber). Hence, SIG's claim that the new P322 gives you 21 reasons to love the 22.
The P322 is a single action, internal barrel rifle with a fixed barrel and excellent accuracy. Additional features include an optic-ready, removable backplate – so ROMEAZero Elite red dot optics can be easily added without the need for adapters – and a 1/2×28 threaded barrel adapter to make it press-ready in no time. . The rifle comes factory with fiber optic front and adjustable rear sights. In addition, the drive has replaceable modular shoes: the shoe is actually a separate piece of polymer that is sprayed onto the metal drive surface. The P322 offers both flat and curved shoe options.
Sig Sauer P322 .22 Rimfire Pistol: Full Review
This tool comes factory with fiber optic front and adjustable rear sights. Note the fully hidden controls.
The grip itself isn't modular, but SIG says it fits all hand sizes. If you're on the south side, don't worry because the controls include a thumb safety. MIL-STD-1913 rails on the dust cover provide space to mount accessories such as rifles or lasers. Don't think of reloading as a nightmare when it comes to the large-capacity 20-round magazine: it's easy to insert a magazine thanks to two side tabs. However, a charger is included in the package. If 20 rounds still isn't enough for you, a 25-round magazine is also offered as an option – it's the same as the 20-rounder, but with an extension that holds five more rounds. The floating camera should ensure full reliability when spending all the ammo. The magazine is well flashed for quick magazine changes.
So, to summarize the features of the SIG P322: optical ready, print ready, 21 round capacity, full scope control, adjustable fiber optic sights, interchangeable flat and curved trigger. All of this in a .22 pistol that should sell for $400 with two 20-round magazines, though pricing is still TBD. Not bad at all. No, SIG SAUER's new .22LR pistol is the P322, not the P320. But you'd be forgiven for getting it wrong at first glance. When SIG started to fill the shooting hole in the pistol lineup, they didn't set out to build a new rifle for another company. Instead, unlike other entrants in the bulletproof pistol space, SIG spent 15 months designing and manufacturing the new P322 in-house. Even the P322's magazines are made in the USA.
Because SIG engineers kept their competitors' rifles in mind when they specified a new design, they built in nearly every feature that today's consumer is looking for in a semi-automatic revolver that matches or exceeds it. One of the most striking points is the P322's impressive 20+1 standard magazine capacity, which surpasses everything else out there.

Finally, what SIG has come up with is perhaps the most complete .22LR semi-automatic pistol on the market.
It's not hard to see the SIG family resemblance in the P322. Many designs from the P320 and P365 are available on the new shotgun. That said, unlike the aforementioned assault pistols, the Rimfire P322 is an all-new surface design, with a stainless steel frame and a beautifully decorated hard-coat anodized sliding slide.
Unlike the P320 and P365, the P322 is not a modular design. The firegroup is not deleted by the user and is dropped into another storage box.
The P322 looks like a compact striker-fired P320 pistol with a four-inch barrel. But this is not an assault rifle. The P322 is a percussion action, closed hammer, single action only pistol. Unlike many bulletproof pistols, you can safely dry it as you please.

The P322's grip is slightly smaller than the standard P320, and you'll find standard versions of the P365 and the same gun with the same grip. With the P322's light trigger, shooters with almost any size hand can have good, full control with the Reflex .22 pistol and be comfortable shooting it.
Unfortunately, Jeremy didn't have a P320 when he took the picture above, but this is the P322 on the left (with its threaded barrel adapter), the P365 XL in the middle, and the standard P365 on the right. Just in case, the P322 will not work on the P320 pistol. SIG sells a holster for the pistol, and third-party borers also convert them.
SIG loads the P322 with an American-made two-dimensional 20-round magazine, giving the pistol a 20+1 round capacity. This means more shooting time and less loading time, which is something everyone appreciates, but until recently we had too many handguns.
If you don't have 21 rounds, SIG will start sending you 25 round extended magazines in a few weeks (they'll get you 10 rounds for those poor souls who live in countries with limited capacity).
Reasons To Love P322
SIG was a little tight-lipped about the price of the extra magazines, but it looks like a 20-round magazine will cost around $29.95, and a 25-round extended magazine will cost around $34.95. or thereabouts.
Again, SIG was unaware of their competitive offerings when they designed this pistol. The P322's closest competitors are the FN 502 Tactical and the Taurus TX22, which have 15- and 16-round magazine capacities, respectively. A GLOCK 44 of the same size only holds 10 rounds. Yes, the KelTec CP33 packs 33 rounds, but this pistol is its own animal and cannot be directly compared to a SIG, FN, Taurus or even a GLOCK.
Includes SIG sleeve. That's great, but in my experience, after loading a dozen or so P322 magazines, you may need a loader if your hands are dull or your fingers are too sensitive.
Tabs on both sides that drop the follower make it easy to load the P322 magazine up to 20 rounds (we haven't seen a 25-round magazine yet).

SIG has equipped the P322 with a nice set of green optical iron sights. The front sight is fixed and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage.
But wait, all the really cool kids are using optics on their pistols these days, aren't they? You bet
SIG is well aware of this trend, which is why they include an optical cutout in the aluminum slide of the P322 to be mounted on the RMSc, and of course – the SIG ROMEOZero micro red dot reflex.
Irons are great, but if you're new to rifle red dots and want to shoot comfortably with one, the P322 is a really good platform.

The P322 has a frame safety due to its single-action design with hammer. All controls are completely opaque.
Although the P322 is not a modular design, its drivetrain is. SIG carries the P322 mounted with the increasingly popular flat drive shoe. If you're a fan of traditional curved exhausts, SIG includes one of these along with a tool to remove them (though you can do the job pretty easily without a tool).
Whichever shoe you use, the P322's drive breaks cleanly and has a relatively short, very attractive and audible recovery. Here's a recipe for quick, accurate magic hat fun.
Removal is as easy as any modern assault rifle. Lock the slide to the rear and turn the release lever to lock the slide into the fixed barrel of the P322.

The P322 barrel has a thread protector. Remove it and screw it onto the threaded barrel adapter, pressing to the pressure of your choice.
SIG includes a threaded rail adapter with the pistol, so you can shoot your suppressed P322 like the polite, cultured gun owner we know you are.
As should be clear by now, the P322 is a full-featured pistol
